Gary Arakawa, CFA, CFP^®

Gary is a Covington founder who serves as chief investment officer and a member of the firm’s management committee. He is responsible for directing strategic policy and managing the investment team. Gary also works closely with clients and serves as portfolio manager. With over 40 years in the financial services industry, he was previously managing director and portfolio manager for U.S. Trust in Los Angeles.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during the Vietnam War in Adak, Alaska and Guam, in the specialty field of satellite communications. Gary has applied the discipline and leadership skills he developed in the military to manage and grow our firm.
